Την πλούσια γενειάδα τους, αλλά και τα περιποιημένα τους μουστάκια, παρουσίασαν στην πόλη Νάσβιλ του Τενεσί εκατοντάδες Αμερικανοί το Σάββατο, στο πλαίσιο του φετινού πρωταθλήματος γενειάδας και μουστακιού των ΗΠΑ.

Ατημέλητες αλλά και πιο φροντισμένες γενειάδες, καθώς και διάφοροι τύποι μουστακιού, τέθηκαν στην κρίση του κοινού και της επιτροπής σε 18 διαφορετικές κατηγορίες.

Με το μούσι να έχει επανέλθει στη μόδα τα τελευταία χρόνια, το αντίστοιχο εθνικό πρωτάθλημα των ΗΠΑ διεξάγεται ετησίως από το 1999.

Οι νικητές, πέρα από… φήμη, κατακτούν μετάλλια και εξασφαλίζουν τη θέση τους για επόμενα πρωταθλήματα και διεθνείς διοργανώσεις.

Ανεξάρτητα από νικητές ηττημένους, το σίγουρο είναι πως όλοι οι γενειοφόροι και μυστακοφόροι συμμετέχοντες μαγνήτισαν τα βλέμματα με την παρουσία τους.
